Training sessions

Menai Track and Field train regularly throughout the year, usually at our track at Treborth Athletics Track.

Training nights are Mondays and Wednesdays 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm.

All ages welcome from 9 upwards. The club has a very busy junior section and an ever growing senior section.

Activities: For the younger ones these are dependant on the number of coaches and athletes but normally include sprinting and endurance, then depending on the weather, hurdling, jumping and throwing. There are also specific groups for the stronger and more experienced sprint and endurance athletes.

Endurance coach, ageing, middle age spreading, individual. I coach the middle distance group. We do track sessions on a Monday and hills on a Wednesday during the winter, there are occasional rep sessions on a Saturday morning dependent on races, other commitments. I competed for Wales on the track and XC. We have a group of mixed abilities and age groups, the younger ones excel in talking and dodging stretches/warm downs!!
