06/02/2012    Medal Successes for Connor, Chris, Aled, Mike and Sophie at Welsh Indoors

Eight Menai athletes travelled down to Cardiff for the Welsh U17 & U20 Indoor Championships on Sunday. The group returned with another good medal haul of 7 Welsh medals and among them 3 gold, and 4 bronze. Connor Laverty made the podium twice in top spot with gold in both the U17M shot and triple jump. He also got 4th in the 60m sprint final. Menai Track and Field is one of the newest and fastest growing clubs in Wales, with over 100 members we are dedicated to furthering the abilities of athletes young and old, however we pride ourselves in supporting the development of young athletes. Our members compete Track and Field events, Xcountry, Endurance and Sprinting as well as Mountain and Fell racing.
